Yoga Can Help You Trim That Extra Weight

We all have our reasons for doing yoga. We do it to connect with our true selves, relieve stress, enjoy “me time”… and who are we kidding? To get that bangin body! If you’re new to yoga, you may think of it as just stretching, as several of my friends have expressed to me. But there’s a lot more going on than you may know. If you’re looking to shed some extra pounds and keep them off, taking yoga classes is tried and true and here’s why:

1. If you have a tough time getting yourself motivated enough to do strenuous exercise, you may want to consider going to a yoga class. Once you go to a class, you’re committed and those around you will help motivate you. Yoga classes are normally about an hour to and hour and a half long. The reason classes are so effective is because when you work out on your own, you can stop at any time, but in a class you see people of all levels, and those who have been at it for a while stand out…they are tone and flexible. This will inspire you to push yourself.

2. Yoga has the benefit of working both your muscles and giving you a cardio workout at the same time. Compare this to running in place on a treadmill, then lifting heavy weights, and the benefit of yoga is obvious. You get it all in one exercise. On top of that, when you’re tone and have built up some muscle from doing yoga, you will burn calories while you sleep!

3. Stretching even elongates your muscles which also helps you to have a leaner body. After practicing yoga regularly, you even start to feel a difference in your posture. You can actually feel taller when you start doing some more advanced spine stretches.

4. Yoga also has the benefit of seeing quicker results with fewer workouts. If you practice 2 -3 times a week for one month, I guarantee that you will see and feel great like you never have before. Be sure to always listen to your body and dont push yourself too hard, but it’s important to feel the burn in order to reap the rewards.

5. Mindful eating. This is a hard one because you can exercise all you want, but if you go home and eat half a pizza, you’re workout was in vain. The challenge is making a lifestyle change regarding your eating habits, which sounds big and scary. Luckily, yoga incorporates the union of body AND mind. So you can set your intention before practice to eat better, less, more vegetables - whatever you’re working on. Visualize yourself eating healthy and feeling great during shavasana (best part of the workout where you lay on the floor at the end :) and see what results you get.

Here’s some tips to get stated. For starters you’ll need a skidless yoga mat or rubber yoga mat. Also look for free classes in your area…as sometimes you can find them at your local YMCA.

Successful People and the Use of Cosmic Ordering

Today many people are searching for a way to improve their lives. To live a more fulfilled life, where they are able to have the things they want and enjoy what it is they have. There are many options out there that promise to help you manifest your dreams, but none that work as well as cosmic ordering.

What is cosmic ordering? It is a spiritual practice where you are able to get from the universe everything it is you want in life. You ask, or order something, and you will receive it. While this is a spiritual process, don’t be swayed to think that you have to be a “Saint” and only do good things in order to get what it is you want from life. Yes, that’s a benefit but not a requirement.

Cosmic ordering, very simply is the spiritual manifestation of your dreams and desires. You can ask for anything from the universe. A change in your life or perhaps a change in situation, which will help you to attain your desired objective.

According to Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. Wayne Dyer, to place an order with the universe you must be in, what they call the “field of intent.” This is an energy field, that is obviously invisible, but it is where our spirit connects to the universe and then returns conscious desires.

Chances are more likely then not that you have done this in the past and not even realized it. Think back about a time where you wanted something, or needed something and then by coincidence you got it. This wasn’t coincidence; this was cosmic ordering at work.

However this method depends on your ability to concentrate and the limits of your intention, within which your desires and belief condense. This leads to envisaging a new situation where you must believe that you deserve what you have been asking for, and keep in mind that you must be sincere in your effort of ordering it.

Merely saying that you want a new car or that you want a promotion is not enough. You must believe deep down in your heart that you deserve them. If you don’t believe or don’t put in any effort, in all likelihood you will not be getting them.

This is not too hard to grasp, is it? It doesn’t involve strenuous spiritual exercises, but asks for self confidence. If you place your confidence in positive things, that positive change will influence your life. However if you meditate solely on negative aspects, the effects shall be adverse.

For example, if you think and believe that you are going to get fired, you probably will. So think positively and focus on what you really want.

Most people believe that do not deserve a lot of things because they deem themselves a failure. This negative mode of thinking affects his/her performances in every aspect of life!

Sometimes your own subconscious mind works against you and tries to keep things in your life the same as they are now.

For success at cosmic ordering you need to train your subconscious mind to make this change possible.

To do this, try a bit of meditation or self hypnosis. And believe in yourself!
