Why Everyone Should Know How To Astral Project

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009

Astral projection is an ability that everyone has, whether they know it or not. Many people actually do it while sleeping, they are just not aware of it. If you want to learn to astral project, what you are actually learning is how to consciously do this so you can control where you go and what you do.

If you are interested in astral projecting, you probably already know what your astral body is and about the astral plane. Read on to find a few different methods that will help you learn to astral project. Since astral projecting is such a personal experience, it is important for you to find techniques that suit you best.

This first method is easy for most people, and you do it just as you are getting ready to fall asleep. It is a very simple five step technique.

*Relax your body completely. In order to reach this deep level of relaxation, lie down comfortably, and begin with your toes. Tense them for a moment, and then consciously relax every muscle. Work your way through your body all the way up to your head. This may seem unfamiliar or uncomfortable at first, but you will get used to it. Alternatively, you may find your body feels very heavy. Either way, it is perfectly normal. Your body just isn’t used to relaxing in this manner.

*The next step is to take slow, deep breaths. You may want to try a meditation technique where you breathe in slowly and deeply, paying attention to the way it feels as the air comes into your lungs and moves through your body. Exhale slowly and completely, again paying attention to how it feels for the air to leave your body. Imagine all the tension leaving your body with each exhale. It is very important not to fall asleep. If you feel yourself drifting, focus on your forehead, right in the center.

*Third, pay attention to how you feel physically. You should feel as if your body were very heavy. It should feel like it would be very difficult to move about. Once you feel these sensations, turn your attention to your astral body. Your astral body should feel light and weightless. It should feel free. Close your eyes to see your astral body. You are as weightless as bubbles or feathers floating on the breeze. The weight of your physical body does not affect the lightness of your astral body.

*Now is when many people who use this technique report that they are able to see the dark room then are in even though their eyes are closed. The room seems to be cloaked in a purple light. If you are able to get to this step then you need to focus your attention on the ceiling light.

*For the fifth step, imagine that you are pulling the ceiling light toward you. As you pull on the light, you will most likely feel like you are floating. It is very important to remain awake. Now that you are aware of the floating sensation, you may be able to look down on your sleeping physical body on the bed.

There you have just had a successful astral projection! Now you can begin to travel through the astral plane. If this method did not work for you, you may want to try this next technique.

This technique is known as the gazing method. You can do this technique when you are going to bed as well. All you need is something to focus on, this can be a picture in your room, the moon outside the window, a crystal, whatever you prefer.

Once you have chosen an object, place it in your view site and lie down in bed. Focus on the object, as you stare at the object you should being to feel you eyelids get heavy. As they do, it is important that you keep starring at the object. Your eyes will close eventually, but you will still be able to see the object. Keep starring at the object, next you will want to sit up or stand up. As you do this, do not be alarmed to see your physical body still laying there asleep.

Don’t get discouraged if you don’t succeed the first few times you try them. Frustration will increase your anxiety levels, which will prevent you from relaxing and being able to project astrally. If you find that neither of these two techniques work for you, don’t worry there are others that you can try.

It is important that you realize that tools and techniques aren’t really holding you back. The main obstacle to successful astral traveling is your own subconscious mind. You may need to give your subconscious mind reassurances that it is okay for your astral body to separate from your physical body for a while. Affirmations are an excellent way to send this message. Once your subconscious mind accepts this message, astral projecting will be a piece of cake!

There are also a few other short cuts to help you astral project very rapidly. Without them it can take a long time to get into the right state of mind but if you use them it can happen very fast after your first attempt!

Hypnosis may help you achieve a relaxed state much more quickly. If you use a quality guided hypnosis session, it can also help explain how to astral project so you don’t have to worry about remembering what to do next. This lets you just follow the session and relax, increasing your chances of having a successful astral projection.

There is also a sound technology that is being developed called “binaural beats.” In this technology, different sound frequencies are played in each ear. This sends signals to your brain that quickly relaxes you into a deep meditative state, increasing the likelihood of a successful astral projection.

Remember that being able to astral project is not as difficult as most people believe it is. It is a natural ability that you were born with, and all of these tools and techniques just help you to fine tune an ability which is already there!

Conscious Dreaming - Consider The Possibilities!

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

Lucid dreaming, also called conscious dreaming, is the process of being asleep while maintaining awareness of your dreams. While you’re in a dream state, you actually know that you’re dreaming. That can even allow you to control your dreams consciously.

It may sound like something out of science fiction; but conscious dreaming is very real and is something that you can do with a little practice. Lucid dreaming is not hard to do ” and being able to control; your dreams can help you to find out more about yourself and serve as a valuable place to express yourself. There are some techniques which are tried and tested for bringing about lucid dreams.

To get there, you’ll have to know what you’d like to achieve. Do you just want to enjoy your dreams in a way you couldn’t before, are are you looking for a way to use your dreams to help you in other areas of life. No matter why you want to learn how to become a conscious dreamer, you should know your goal and be determined enough to get there.

The next step is to begin practicing the techniques which can produce the appropriate state of mind for lucid dreaming to occur. The first step for most people is dream recall, which is simply training yourself to remember your dreams.

Learning to remember your dreams will help you to begin conscious dreaming. One thing which works for most is keeping a dream diary. Keep this beside your bed so that as soon as you awake (before your dreams can start melting away in the sun as they tend to do), you can write down all of the details you remember.

Before long, youll find yourself able to remember more of your dreams ” and your dream diary can help refresh your memory. Once your mind is trained to remember dreams, the ability to recognize them while they are happening will follow easily. You might, like many do, come to the awareness suddenly that you are dreaming!

Other than keeping dream diary, many find hypnosis helpful. Hypnosis can help you to quickly reach the appropriate state for conscious dreaming. In fact, hypnosis can help you to recall every detail of your dreams in only a few sessions! Conscious dreaming is easy once this is accomplished.

You might find at first that you tend to suddenly wake during your lucid dreams; this is natural. In order to make a return to the dream, concentrate on the details of the dream as you drift back to sleep. This should enable you to quickly return and start controlling the events once again.

One other method of inducing conscious dreaming is waking up a few hours earlier than you usually do, then trying to get back to sleep. During this period, the dreams you’ll have are a lot easier to stay aware in. You even be unsure about whether you were really asleep, or if you were merely thinking while lying in bed. Do this on a regular basis, and lucid dreaming is a lot more likely.

Remember to pay close attention to your sleeping patterns. That will tell you when the best time is to have dreams of this type. Just remember not to short yourself on sleep too badly, since you’re less likely to have lucid dreams when you’re very tired.

The good news is that lucid dreaming is actually effective against insomnia and other sleeping disorders. Using conscious dreaming you can teach your mind to shut down troublesome thoughts that are keeping you awake.

Many think of lucid dreaming as something which takes years of practice to learn; but in fact, it isnt that hard. It just takes a little practice to become a conscious dreamer.

Conscious dreaming is an ability which everyone has. By practicing these techniques, youll find yourself in control of your dreams in pretty short order; and enjoying all of the benefits of lucid dreams!

Regression Therapy - Why Should You Remember?

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

Do you feel like no one wants you? Are you addicted to controlled substances? Are you often the target of bullying for no reason you can ascertain? Do you have problems controlling your anger? Do you have problems maintaining a healthy relationship? Do you have it all, yet still feel that something is missing?

If you are having one or more of these problems and nothing has seemed to be effective in resolving the issue; with these problems continuing to plague you then this article is for you. You may not have considered it before, but regression therapy could be the answer you’ve been seeking.

In the words of the Past Life Therapy Center, regression therapy is “facing the dark to encourage the light”. This is a form of hypnotherapy where the client is helped by a therapist to revisit their past while still fully conscious.

These past experiences can include experiences from the adulthood of the client, their adolescence; even all the way back to their prenatal stage!

Past life regression therapy however takes this a step further and takes clients back in time to before conception; to a time before their previous life.

This is not a concept that everyone can accept. ‘Conventional’ science tells us that this life is the only life we experience and when we die it is the end.

Clients have been known to speak in foreign languages or recite “memories” of famous battles and wars. Some even conclude that they lived during pre-historic times and remember hunting big game with their spouse, who is in fact their current mate.

It is really exciting when someone manages to find hard evidence about what they remembered during past life regression therapy perhaps by looking at historical documents and recognizing names and places.

There are also startling reports around the world of children who can accurately remember their recent past lives and get to meet people still living that they were once related to.

The experiences that we have had in these past lives can help us understand the way that we are now - there is a much better perspective to be gained on one’s behavior with this kind of insight on the past.

A term called Faulty Thoughts was coined by regression therapists. This describes the negative internal dialogue that we have and may have created in another life experience. It becomes a part of the emotional baggage we carry around with us today.

The only person who can change these negative thought processes is the one who created them in the first place. For this reason, the client must undergo regression therapy that enables him or her to change the negative energy into positive. This can be achieved by things like forgiveness, karmic repayment and re-patterning.

Forgiveness is a basic biblical principle; the entire faith is dependent upon it. Karmic repayment is the idea that we must repay the wrongs we have committed even if they are from a previous life. Basically correct the bad behavior to correct the bad karma.

After taking these measures to rid one of negative feelings, we can re-pattern our energy field into a positive thing, with good feelings of tranquility and peace.

Regression therapy can be hard on you but is truly life changing. Clients nearly universally report having a more positive outlook on life and a feeling of renewal.

But of course, to achieve this result, every client must have a tough commitment to know himself thoroughly and change the way he is expecting his life to be.

Regression therapy is a fascinating subject, and you should seriously think about trying it yourself either just out of interest, to discover who you were in a previous life, or to help you with present day problems.
